Network Engineer in Solution Test - Remote

Overview

The Network Engineer in Solution Test will ensure the quality of Arista’s products through extensive testing of complex end-to-end environments, focusing on key technologies and customer networks.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand testing requirements.
• Plan and build network topologies for testing use cases.
• Configure hardware and tools to emulate required environments.
• Execute exhaustive test plans focusing on performance and scale.
• Troubleshoot failures and work with development on fixes.
• Communicate results and provide feedback on improvements.
• Interact with sales and customers for demos and inquiries.
• Cross-train with peers on new technologies.
• Assist TAC team with escalations when needed.

Requirements

• Masters degree in telecommunications or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in system or solution testing.
• Knowledge of layer 2 and layer 3 technologies.
• Experience with switch administration and CLI/SNMP interfaces.
• Familiarity with Linux networking tools.
• Some knowledge of scripting languages like Python or TCL.
• Strong communication skills.
• Drive to improve quality and learn new technologies.
• Ability to work independently.
