Part-Time Financial Controller - Remote

Overview

Arganteal is seeking a highly experienced Financial Controller to manage accounting and payroll operations while ensuring financial accuracy and supporting strategic decision-making.

In Short

• Part-time / Contract / Fractional position.
• Remote work from home in Austin, Texas area.
• Oversee daily accounting operations including P&L, AP/AR, and month-end close.
• Maintain financial records in QuickBooks Online.
• Prepare financial statements monthly, quarterly, and annually.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.
• Manage payroll processes, preferably using Rippling.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to leadership.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
• At least 10 years of relevant experience; 2 years in a Controller role.
• Expertise in QuickBooks Online is required.
• Familiarity with payroll systems, with Rippling experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and compliance standards.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Comfortable in a small business or startup environment.
• Based in or near Austin, Texas.
