Overview

The Guidewire Software Engineer III is responsible for collaborating with various stakeholders to translate requirements into technical designs and solutions in Guidewire, focusing on implementation and integrations that align with business goals.

• Act as a Guidewire Insurance Suite Technical Expert.
• Prepare solution designs within Guidewire Cloud Insurance Suite.
• Conduct peer code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices.
• Collaborate with engineers and security personnel for cohesive solutions.
• Ensure compliance requirements are met for the Guidewire platform.
• Drive tech debt reduction and application/platform security awareness.
• Maintain technical documentation for the Guidewire suite.
• Work with tech leads to ensure the technical environment is available.
• Utilize strong configuration and integration skills across policy, billing, and claims centers.
• Engage in modern software architectures and development techniques.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of experience in Guidewire ClaimsCenter, PolicyCenter, or BillingCenter.
• Expert knowledge of Guidewire Cloud Insurance Suite.
• 5 years of experience in the commercial P&C insurance industry.
• Strong understanding of Underwriting and Billing Workflows.
• Proficient in JAVA, J2EE, JMS, JDBC, or C# and .NET.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with Software Configuration Management tools.
• Strong communication and consensus-building skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree in business, computer science, or related field.
