Director of Product Design - Remote

Overview

The Director of Product Design leads the Product Design team and is responsible for the quality, consistency, and impact of all user experience and visual design across the Modo platform.

• Lead, manage, and mentor a team of UI/UX designers.
• Hire and onboard new designers as the team scales.
• Prioritize incoming design requests from Product Managers.
• Run regular design critiques and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Own and evolve the Modo design system.
• Establish and maintain design standards for player-facing flows.
• Ensure designs are optimized for mobile-first experiences.
• Partner closely with Product Managers and Engineering.
• Champion user research and player feedback.
• Drive improvements to key UX flows.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product design experience.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating mobile-first consumer product design.
• Experience owning or contributing to a design system.
• Proficiency in Figma.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Comfortable balancing hands-on design work with leadership responsibilities.
