Security Engineer - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Security Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in safeguarding Arango’s entire suite of product offerings and infrastructure. This position is central to ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our services.

In Short

• Ensure our product is robust and "water-tight" against a wide range of cyber threats.
• Perform security assessments, code reviews, and penetration testing on our services.
• Secure our managed service environment; implementing and maintaining security tools.
• Establish and maintain tight security monitoring and alerting mechanisms.
• Own Kubernetes security, including cluster hardening and secrets management.
• Collaborate on incident response, security controls, and awareness efforts.

Requirements

• 3–7+ years of hands-on experience in security engineering.
• Strong expertise in Kubernetes security.
• Cloud security experience across AWS and/or GCP.
• Solid foundation in core security domains: IAM, network security, vulnerability management.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.
