Join our Shona Language Identification (LID) Project and play a key role in advancing AI voice technologies! Your task will be to listen to short audio clips and decide if the language spoken is Shona. If you're detail-oriented and passionate about languages, this is the perfect opportunity to contribute to meaningful tech innovation!

In Short

• Review and assess 500 audio clips to determine if they are in Shona.
• Ensure accuracy and linguistic relevance based on clear guidelines.
• Native Shona speakers currently residing in Zimbabwe.
• Aged between 18–40.
• Strong listening, comprehension, and analytical skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in any field.
• Proficient in English (B2 level or above).
• Available Monday to Friday between 9:00–19:00 local time.
• Must have access to a PC (Windows 7 or later).
• Project duration from May to June 2025.

Requirements

• Detail-oriented and passionate about languages.
• Ability to work 6–8 hours/day for 3 weeks.
• Access to reliable internet and a suitable workspace.
• Experience in audio assessment is a plus.
