Anthropic seeks a Technical and Developer Communications Lead to shape our strategy across developer relations, AI infrastructure, research, and technical initiatives. You'll translate our complex innovations into compelling narratives for technical audiences while advancing our position as a leader in responsible AI development.

• Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy targeting developer communities, engineers and ML/AI practitioners.
• Create compelling narratives around Anthropic's API, tools, and technical capabilities.
• Influence communications strategy for AI hardware.
• Manage public-facing issues and sensitive situations.
• Coordinate rapid response issue management and crisis management.
• Develop a proactive product security communications narrative.
• Build and maintain relationships across community forums and media.
• Create technical content including blog posts and messaging.
• Tailor the technical spokesperson bench for media engagements.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Research teams.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in technical communications.
• Demonstrated track record of building authentic developer relationships.
• Deep understanding of AI/ML technologies and development frameworks.
• Strong relationships with technical influencers and media outlets.
• Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling narratives.
• Experience managing security-sensitive communications.
• Strong technical writing skills.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Background in computer science, engineering, or related field preferred.
• Passion for responsible AI development.
