Entry Level Transportation Engineer - Remote

AMT is growing and is seeking a highly motivated Entry Level Transportation Engineer to join our growing Transportation team of design professionals in our Raleigh, NC office. In Short

• Support a variety of projects involving data collection and engineering reports for NCDOT and local Municipalities.
• Develop horizontal and vertical alignments, perform template drops, and create 3D models of roadways.
• Assist other AMT offices with highway design.
• Develop Work Zone Traffic Control Plans, Signing, and Pavement Marking Plans.

Requirements

• BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
• Engineering-in-Training Certification (or ability to obtain in 6-12 months) preferred.
• Prior internship or work experience preferred, especially with Municipal or NCDOT projects.
• Experience with Autodesk AutoCAD/Civil3D and/or Bentley Microstation/InRoads or Open Roads Designer preferred.
• Knowledge of civil engineering design and construction surveying concepts preferred.
• Experience with MS Office products including Word and Excel.
• Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers and project managers.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
