Senior Water Resources Engineer - Remote

Overview

A. Morton Thomas and Associates, Inc. (AMT) is seeking a highly motivated Senior Water Resources Engineer, with 7+ years of relevant experience, to join our growing team of design professionals in our Herndon, VA office. The right candidate would primarily complete water resources engineering tasks for roadway and bridge projects supporting the transportation group but would also assist on other water resources projects including drainage improvements, SWM retrofits, floodplain modeling, and stream/ecological restoration.

In Short

• Produce construction plans, specifications, and estimates.
• Design stormwater management systems.
• Complete calculations, models, and reports for water resource projects.
• Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for various applications.

Requirements

• BS in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Professional Engineer license preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in water resources.
• Strong skills in MicroStation/AutoCAD.
• Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software.
• Knowledge of civil engineering principles.
• Self-motivated and team-oriented.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
