Scientific Business Analyst (Specialist) – Biological Studies (LIMS) - Remote

Overview

The Scientific Business Analyst (Specialist) will work closely with Amgen Research partners and Technology peers to ensure that the technology and data needs for drug discovery research are translated into technical requirements for solution implementation.

• Join a multi-functional team of scientists and software professionals.
• Function as a Scientific Business Systems Analyst within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) product team.
• Serve as a liaison between global Research Informatics functional areas and global research scientists.
• Manage a suite of custom internal platforms and commercial off-the-shelf software.
• Develop and maintain a product roadmap outlining features and enhancements.
• Ensure scientific data operations are integrated into AI/Machine Learning capabilities.
• Collaborate with geographically dispersed teams, including those in the US and internationally.
• Provide technical support, training, and infrastructure management.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure operational excellence, cybersecurity, and compliance.

Requirements

• Master’s degree and 4 to 6 years of experience in relevant fields, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in scientific domain areas and related technology needs.
• Experience with writing user requirements and acceptance criteria in agile systems such as JIRA.
• Experience in configuring and administering LIMS/ELN platforms.
• Knowledge of bioanalytical workflows and/or biospecimen management.
• Experience in AI and machine learning for drug discovery research.
• In-depth knowledge of Agile processes and principles via SAFe.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with global, virtual teams.
• Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
