Overview

The Vice President of Medicine – UrgentVet provides enterprise level clinical and operational leadership for UrgentVet’s expanding national network of 90+ urgent care animal hospitals operating across multiple states.

In Short

  • Establish and oversee veterinary medical standards and clinical protocols.
  • Provide executive level clinical leadership and mentorship.
  • Lead and manage a dispersed team of Regional Medical Directors.
  • Drive consistency in clinical quality and patient outcomes.
  • Partner with Operations leadership to align medical strategy with performance.
  • Monitor performance metrics and implement improvement strategies.
  • Collaborate on recruiting and development of veterinary leadership.
  • Support hospital growth and service line evolution.
  • Represent UrgentVet in industry forums and associations.
  • Oversee continuing education strategy for veterinary teams.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM).
  • Multiple active veterinary licenses in applicable states.
  • 8 years of clinical veterinary experience with leadership responsibility.
  • 3 years of senior clinical and operational leadership experience.
  • Prior leadership experience in urgent care preferred.
  • Proven experience in leading clinical leaders in a growth-oriented environment.
  • Strong understanding of urgent care workflows.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
