Overview

The American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) is seeking an experienced Contract Grant Writer to support the NeuroPoint Alliance (NPA) and Neurosurgery Research & Education Foundation (NREF) on a 12-month retainer. This role involves identifying grant opportunities, drafting proposals, and developing funding strategies to enhance the organizations' impact.

• Identify public and private funding opportunities aligned with NPA and NREF missions.
• Develop high-quality grant proposals and letters of inquiry.
• Maintain a calendar of grant deadlines and reporting requirements.

Requirements

• Proven track record of securing grants from various sources.
• Minimum of 5 years’ professional grant writing experience.
• Strong research, writing, and editing skills.
• Ability to translate complex concepts into clear narratives.
• Knowledge of compliance requirements for grant funding.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple deadlines.
• Experience in a contract/consulting capacity preferred.
