Instructional Designer - Remote

Overview

The Instructional Designer at AMDA College of the Performing Arts will be responsible for designing and supporting engaging, accessible, and effective learning experiences, both online and on-ground, while assisting with the administration of the Learning Management System (LMS), Canvas.

In Short

• Design and enhance online, hybrid, and on-ground course templates.
• Assist faculty with administrative aspects of Canvas LMS.
• Provide guidance on curriculum development and instructional technologies.
• Troubleshoot LMS-related issues for faculty, staff, and students.
• Support training courses setup and organization within the LMS.
• Test and implement new tools and features in Canvas.
• Develop documentation and training materials for instructional technology.
• Monitor system usage and generate reports for decision-making.
• Stay current with trends in instructional design and digital learning.
• Facilitate training workshops for faculty and staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Systems, Instructional Technology, or related field.
• Experience in education, training, or online teaching.
• Experience with Canvas LMS for Higher Education.
• Experience in Instructional Design.
• Strong analytical skills for diagnosing technical issues.
• Familiarity with user roles and troubleshooting in Canvas LMS.
• Understanding of accessibility best practices.
• Ability to work in PC, Mac, and mobile environments.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
