Overview

ALTEN MÉXICO is seeking a talented Layout Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing facility layouts to improve operational efficiency and product flow.

In Short

• Create and modify workstation and material flow designs for new models and existing programs.
• Assess available plant space to determine the optimal arrangement of equipment and workstations.
• Work with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure designs meet operational and safety requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste in the manufacturing process through layout reconfiguration.
• Use software like AutoCAD to create visual representations of layouts and simulate material flows.
• Maintain accurate records of all layouts and changes made, and prepare reports and presentations for management.
• Assist in training staff on the use of new layouts and processes.
• Follow up on the implementation of new layouts and assess their effectiveness in practice.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of manufacturing principles.
