Overview

Are you a passionate linguist with a love for video games and a knack for ensuring top-tier quality in localization? We're looking for a Senior Simplified Chinese Language Specialist to join our in-house team, supporting a leading AAA game client – Blizzard® Entertainment.

In Short

• Oversee the translation, editing, and proofreading of Simplified Chinese video game content from English into Simplified Chinese.
• Collaborate directly with client-side stakeholders to align tone, style, and terminology.
• Drive creative language decisions across a variety of game genres and platforms.
• Develop and maintain style guides, glossaries, and linguistic resources.
• Review key assets, manage linguistic escalations, and resolve queries.
• Work cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure linguistic consistency and quality.
• Train and mentor both internal and external translators on best practices and workflows.
• Continuously seek opportunities to optimize localization processes.

Requirements

• Familiarity with Blizzard® projects is important.
• Native-level Simplified Chinese and fluency in English are a must.
• Strong communication skills and confidence in client calls and team meetings.
• Minimum 4 years of experience editing video game content.
• Solid experience with CAT tools and project management platforms.
• Background in linguistics, translation, or language studies.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work effectively under pressure.
• A passion for gaming and a belief in the power of language to enhance player immersion.
• Ability to work in Central European Time (CET).
