Indirect Tax Analyst - Remote

Overview

An exciting role for an Indirect Tax Analyst at AlphaSense, a rapidly expanding SAAS company in the AI/Market Intelligence space, dealing with complex Domestic and International tax laws.

In Short

• Support monthly indirect tax compliance operations.
• Prepare and file domestic sales/use tax and international GST/VAT returns.
• Reconcile tax data between ERP and Avalara tax software.
• Manage exemption certificate process.
• Analyze and respond to indirect tax audit notices.
• Prepare indirect tax general ledger account reconciliations.
• Conduct in-depth tax research and monitor changes in tax laws.
• Collaborate with customer support teams on tax inquiries.
• Assist with indirect tax system implementations.
• Maintain indirect tax filing calendar and track payments.

Requirements

• 1 to 3+ years of experience in indirect tax.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong tax research and writing skills.
• Comfortable working with large data sets.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
• Undergraduate Degree in Accounting or master’s in taxation preferred.
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of Avalara, Netsuite or data analytics tools desirable.
