Overview

As a Senior Engineer at Alpaca, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the systems and services that empower millions of users trading billions of dollars worth of assets.

In Short

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver high-impact features/projects
Build backend systems/components with integrity, maintainability, scalability, and stability
Own the delivery of high-visibility features/projects, from design to deployment
Collaborate with engineering teams to improve the health of Alpaca’s systems

Requirements

5+ years of experience working on systems at scale
Strong coding skills, preferably in Go
Experience with IDLs, RPC frameworks, cloud platforms, and relational databases
Strong problem-solving skills and proactive mindset
Ability to debug issues and foresee problems
