Overview

The Property Desk Adjuster is responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for Homeowners Claims, determining coverage, damages, and negotiating claims independently.

  • Determine coverage and adjust claims within authority limits.
  • Work independently and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Partner with fraud or subrogation representatives when necessary.
  • Understand insurance policies and organizational relationships.
  • Handle investigations on homeowner first-party claims.
  • Recognize key components of residential construction.
  • Identify and meet customer needs with appropriate service skills.
  • Learn to determine fraud potential and handle claims accordingly.
  • 2+ years of experience in a related field preferred.

Requirements

  • Strong background in assessing property damage.
  • Solid understanding of insurance claims investigation.
  • Proficiency in Xactimate is highly preferred.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Intermediate understanding of insurance policies.
  • Experience with homeowner first-party claims.
  • Ability to identify fraud or subrogation potential.
  • 2 or more years of experience preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
