Senior PHP Developer - AI Integration Focus - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled PHP Developer based in Pakistan to support our client on AI driven application projects. This role requires strong backend expertise combined with hands on experience integrating modern AI platforms, particularly voice enabled solutions.

In Short

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using PHP frameworks including Laravel, CodeIgniter, and WordPress.
• Lead AI integrations into web applications, including APIs from platforms such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Bland, Retell, ElevenLabs, and similar services.
• Implement and optimize voice based AI applications, ensuring smooth functionality, performance, and user experience.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to define architecture, data flow, and AI implementation strategies.
• Customize and maintain CMS platforms including WordPress and Drupal as required by project scope.
• Develop secure, scalable RESTful APIs and ensure best practices in authentication, validation, and performance optimization.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications.
• Participate in technical discussions with client stakeholders, clearly explaining solutions and technical considerations in English.

Requirements

• 4 plus years of professional PHP development experience.
• Strong hands on experience with Laravel.
• Experience with WordPress development, including custom themes or plugins.
• Working knowledge of CodeIgniter and Drupal.
• Proven experience integrating AI APIs, especially LLM based platforms.
• Experience building or integrating voice enabled applications.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and third party integrations.
• Solid knowledge of MySQL or other relational databases.
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a fully remote environment with U.S based teams.
