Principal Consultant / Head of AI - Remote

Overview

This is a director-level position with both external, client-facing, and internal responsibilities. You will be the most senior technical leader for our overall AI and data science practice, setting and representing the company’s technical vision as it pertains to AI.

In Short

• Lead technical discussions in sales cycles and represent the company at events.
• Serve as technical lead and architect on client project teams.
• Conduct advisory research for clients and create proofs-of-concept.
• Mentor senior technical team members and guide the AI practice guild.
• Collaborate with software development and design leadership.
• Participate in business development and marketing efforts.
• Work on billable client work and solo hands-on projects.
• Ensure quality of project delivery across AI and data science practices.
• Articulate the company’s vision and achievements in AI.
• Engage in interdisciplinary teamwork with project managers and product designers.

Requirements

• Proven track record of technical leadership.
• Broad experience in data science and AI across multiple subfields.
• Strong understanding of the economics and business value of AI solutions.
• Academic background in AI or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience as a technology professional.
• Exceptional communication skills in English and French.
• Exposure to healthcare is a plus.
• Interest in helping generalists learn about AI.
• Affinity for adjacent domains like design and engineering.
