Senior Accountant - Remote

Overview

The Senior Accountant is an integral role that will work under direct supervision of the Corporate Controller. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, general ledger accountability, journal entries, account reconciliations, financial analysis, and financial reporting, as well as other special projects as assigned.

In Short

• Lead month-end close processes including preparing journal entries and financial reports
• Prepare and maintain fixed asset records and reconciliations
• Organize personal property tax filings
• Maintain lease accounting schedules in compliance with ASC 842
• Perform ad hoc analysis and investigate accounting issues
• Manage quarterly inventory counts for medical supplies
• Develop relationships with other departments to resolve issues
• Introduce efficiencies to streamline accounting processes
• Coordinate with external tax accountants and auditors
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations

Requirements

• 4-6 years of professional accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• Master’s Degree and/or CPA preferred
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines
