Technical Writer - Independent Contractor - Remote

Overview

This at-will position is being hired to support a specific client project. While this role is an independent contractor position with Falcon's Creative Group, employment will not extend beyond the duration of the project. The assignment will conclude once the project is completed, at which time employment with Falcon's Creative Group will end.

In Short

• Responsible for creating and maintaining clear documentation for interactive experiences.
• Write specifications for holographic displays and interactive installations.
• Develop integration documentation for AV and IoT systems.
• Produce user guides and onboarding materials for various stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineers and creative teams to gather requirements.
• Track versioning of documents and communicate updates effectively.
• Simplify complex engineering details for non-technical stakeholders.
• Document commissioning and testing processes for interactive systems.
• Create training manuals and operational handbooks for live environments.
• Ensure documentation accounts for guest flow and safety in public spaces.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
• At least three years of experience as a technical writer.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python preferred.
• Proficiency with tools like Markdown, Confluence, and Git.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site support.
• Passion for storytelling and interactive design.
