Overview

AMTS is currently seeking a Design Engineer to join our team on a long-term, fulfilling career opportunity that is remote, but requires the ideal candidate to reside in San Antonio, TX for possible onsite work.

In Short

Develop Navy Common Support Equipment (CSE) and Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE).
Support Equipment Recommendation Data (SERD) development and management.
Contracts Data Requirement List (CDRL) and Data Item Description (DID) for support equipment development.
Work with GD&T, CAD software, and other technical engineering software.
Present ideas and communicate with joint venture colleagues.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Systems, or Electrical Engineering (master’s preferred).
Must be a US Citizen.
5+ years’ experience in design engineering within DoD, aerospace, or defense contracting environments.
Proficiency with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, NX).
Knowledge of DoD acquisition processes (e.g., MIL-HDBK-881, DFARS).
Ability to work in cross-functional teams.
