Lead Engineer - Remote

Overview

Alabama Solutions is looking for a Lead Engineer to support a key account at its international business unit (HNDevs). Lead engineers will have the opportunity to make full-stack contributions, while having an outsized impact and ownership of the architecture and stack choices. This role also involves mentoring and leading other engineers.

In Short

• Contractor (1099) full-time position.
• Open for candidates in Uruguay and Argentina (preferably Buenos Aires and Montevideo).
• Projects involve building with React/Typescript on the frontend and Node.js/NestJS/Typescript on the backend.
• Must be savvy at agentic coding.
• Fluent to native English and native-level Spanish required.
• Six or more years of relevant experience needed.
• Experience in a 100% remote setting.

Requirements

• Six (6) or more years of relevant experience.
• Fluent in native English.
• Native-level Spanish.
• Four (4) or more years of experience with Typescript + Node.js.
• Four (4) or more years of experience with Typescript + React.
• Experience with agentic coding tools.
• Experience in a remote working environment.
• Two (2) years or more with a US/Canada/UK-based startup.
• Well-developed soft skills.
