Senior Protection and Control Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Senior Protection & Control (P&C) and System Engineer is responsible for overseeing the design and compliance of protection schemes in T&D substations, while mentoring the design team and representing the company in external standards committees.

In Short

• Lead and review P&C designs for substations.
• Mentor secondary design teams and act as a technical authority.
• Ensure designs meet project specifications and standards.
• Coordinate technical aspects of AC power substation projects.
• Propose optimizations and seal designs.
• Conduct load flow and fault studies.
• Support factory acceptance testing and site commissioning.

• Maintain knowledge of IEC 61850 architecture.
• Demonstrate leadership and accountability in project execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• P.E. License in the US.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in system protection schemes.
• Experience in design reviews and technical mentoring.
• Ability to travel up to 10% for site tests.
• Familiarity with protective relaying coordination.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organized and goal-oriented.
• Capable of working under pressure.
