JENSEN HUGHES has a career opening for a Senior Fire Protection Engineer in our Houston, TX office. We are a leading fire protection consulting firm providing a range of professional services involving life safety, fire protection, security and mass notification on commercial, institutional and industrial projects for clients worldwide.

In Short

• Plan, direct, and manage engineering activities for assigned projects.
• Conduct comprehensive building and fire code reviews and analyses.
• Design fire protection systems, including fire alarms and suppression systems.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop practical solutions.
• Serve as the primary liaison with clients.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and proposals.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Requirements

• S. Degree or higher in Engineering, preferably Fire Protection or Chemical.
• Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in code consulting and design.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Fire Protection is strongly desired.
• Knowledge of hazards and processes in high hazard facilities.
• Experience in hazard recognition and analysis techniques.
• Ability to develop models and interpret results from relevant programs.
• Good communication and negotiating skills.
