Lead Power System Protection & Control Engineer - Remote

Overview

This position will be responsible for executing Protection and Control Engineering and Consulting services in Transmission, Distribution and Industrial markets in the US and Canada.

In Short

• Design and delivery of complex protection solutions for electrical utilities and industrial clients.
• Participate in the design and development of microgrid solutions.
• Perform engineering studies and analyses.
• Create relay setting files and program protection elements.
• Test customized Protection and Control solutions.
• Model and conduct power system simulations.
• Assist in factory acceptance testing and commissioning.
• Participate in project meetings with technical discussions.
• Develop software tools to automate engineering processes.
• Support field activities including site acceptance testing.

Requirements

• B.S or higher degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering specialized in power system.
• Seven years of experience in design, study, and analysis of electric power systems.
• Knowledge of power system analysis and protection theory.
• Must hold a Professional Engineer license.
• Familiarity with study software and power system tools.
• Knowledge of substation communication protocols.
• Experience with system commissioning and testing.
• Strong communication skills and technical writing ability.
• Ethical and professional business manner.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
