Lead Field Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Lead Field Service Engineer will perform a wide range of engineering tasks, ensuring proper installation, service, and commissioning of products and services in the electrification sector.

In Short

• Perform installation and commissioning on various drive and power systems.
• Troubleshoot issues at customer site locations during scheduled visits or at sea.
• Develop documentation for commissioning and maintenance procedures.
• Provide technical support and customer training.
• Execute project management duties to resolve customer issues.
• Identify sales opportunities for service agreements and upgrades.
• Complete timely service reports and administrative tasks.
• Travel extensively to customer sites, both domestically and overseas.
• Ensure compliance with safety guidelines while working on-site.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Associate's Degree with 5 years of related experience or High School diploma with 8 years of experience.
• Willingness to travel 85% of the time on short notice.
• Ability to achieve security clearance for Department of Defense projects.
• Physical fitness to board vessels offshore.
• Leadership qualities aligned with GE Vernova Way.
• Strong computer proficiency, especially with MS Office.
• Ability to execute complicated engineering assignments independently.
• Experience in a customer-facing service environment.
• Ability to work in challenging environmental conditions.
