Fullstack Engineer (Frontend Focused) - Remote

In Short

• Join a team partnering with the Department of Veterans Affairs to support ongoing development on VA.gov.
• Work as part of a cross-functional Agile team to build accessible, performant, and scalable frontend applications.
• Implement user-facing features with React (TypeScript/JavaScript) adhering to modern component patterns.
• Integrate with VA APIs and backend services.
• Utilize AI-powered IDEs for code analysis and development.
• Monitor and improve application performance using tools like Datadog.
• Write and maintain automated tests for delivered functionality.
• Participate in pair programming and peer reviews.
• Leverage cloud-based infrastructure for scalability and maintainability.
• Support knowledge sharing and mentoring within the engineering community.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional engineering experience.
• 3+ years of experience with React and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with AI tools and services in software delivery.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure.
• Understanding of application observability and monitoring tools.
