Senior Accountant - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Accountant with a solid accounting foundation, leadership experience, and strong communication skills to help us scale operations and support our growing team.

In Short

• Full-Time remote position with working hours Monday-Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM CST.
• Compensation ranges from $2,500 to $3,000 monthly based on assessment.
• Work with a dynamic tax preparation firm specializing in e-commerce sales tax solutions.
• Review financial documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Manage and mentor team members.
• Handle complex client communications.
• Coordinate special projects, including audits.
• Identify improvements in workflows and systems.
• Collaborate with leadership on strategic business objectives.
• Proficiency in Excel is required.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in accounting and project management.
• Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Previous team leadership experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, formulas, etc.).
• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms like Shopify is preferred.
• Knowledge of sales tax software (e.g., Avalara) is a plus.
• CPA certification or progress toward one is preferred.
