Overview

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing hardware for control systems in the hydropower sector, providing technical project and engineering support, and developing system concepts based on project tenders and customer-specific requirements.

In Short

  • Design hardware for control systems in hydropower.
  • Develop system concepts based on project tenders.
  • Provide technical project and engineering support.
  • Work on control of excitation systems and turbine governors.
  • Design control cabinets and select system components.
  • Create circuit and terminal diagrams using CAD/CAE systems.
  • Collaborate with the HYDRO POWER Automation team.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards (VDE, DIN-EN).
  • Utilize Siemens and Rockwell control systems.
  • Contribute to a diverse and inclusive work environment.

Requirements

  • Degree in electrical engineering, automation, or information technology.
  • Several years of professional experience in electrical design.
  • Good knowledge of VDE and DIN-EN standards.
  • Experience with Siemens and Rockwell control systems.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of CAD/CAE systems (e.g., RUPLAN, EPLAN P8).
  • Result-oriented and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and high level of commitment.
  • Intercultural experience is a plus.
