In Short

• The opportunity exists for an experienced engineer to join AFRY’s Energy Division within the expanding Renewables and Energy Storage team in the UK and Ireland.
• You will provide clients with help and support at all project stages.
• Key tasks include providing engineering/technical expertise and guidance.
• Support project management activities as required.
• Provide design support and technical reviews on designs.
• Preparation of thorough and accurate technical reports and documentation.
• Identify potential risks and contribute towards mitigating them.
• Participate in business development work including developing contacts and preparing proposals.
• Continuous improvement of engineering technical knowledge and skills.
• Represent the company positively and professionally.

Requirements

• Minimum 2:1 degree in electrical engineering.
• Chartered status (Principal Engineer) or working towards Chartered status (Senior Engineer).
• Significant knowledge of MV and HV electrical infrastructure.
• Good knowledge of electrical related British and IEC standards.
• Ability to create valuable solutions for unclear situations.
• Experience of providing consulting services in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment is an advantage.
• Recognised Project Management training is a plus.
• Commercial awareness and contract knowledge (e.g. NEC or FIDIC).
• Experience with protection circuits and coordinating with network operators.
• Working knowledge of Grid Code/G99/EGIP requirements.
