Underwriting Specialist - Remote

Overview

As an Underwriting Specialist at 8am, you will be responsible for supporting the operations team by verifying and approving incoming accounts, ensuring compliance and protecting the company against fraud.

In Short

• Verify and approve new client accounts.
• Review account information with a strong attention to detail.
• Collaborate with other departments to prevent fraud.
• Onboard and maintain customer accounts.
• Create initial limits for accounts based on reviews.
• Alert management about potentially fraudulent accounts.
• Work efficiently with other underwriting team members.
• Provide additional support at the end of each month.
• Maintain a positive attitude during busy periods.
• Possess a can-do attitude and willingness to exceed expectations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Minimum of 5 years work experience in underwriting preferred.
• 1 year experience with the company preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Positive, can-do attitude.
