Roadway / Highway Design Engineer - Remote

Overview

AECOM is seeking a talented Roadway/Transportation Design Engineer to join a dynamic and highly technical transportation team. You will work on transportation projects for a variety of clients in public and private industries.

In Short

• Work on cutting-edge design projects utilizing the latest technologies.
• Apply fundamental engineering, geometric, and highway design principles.
• Identify discrepancies in results and produce detailed engineering assignments.
• Organize and develop calculations for design files.
• Demonstrate understanding of codes, standards, and CADD software.
• Provide guidance to entry-level engineers.
• Complete primary design elements independently.
• Work within budget and schedule with minimal supervision.
• Engage in site visits as needed.
• Collaborate with a team of planners, engineers, and technicians.

Requirements

• BA/BS + 4 years of related experience or equivalent education.
• Preferred: IL Professional Engineering (PE) License.
• Experience with Preparation of Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E).
• Knowledgeable in MicroStation and other CADD software.
• Good communication skills and team collaboration ability.
• Familiarity with MS Office Suites required.
• Knowledge of IDOT, ISTHA, and CDOT design specifications.
