Senior Roadway Design Engineer - Remote

Overview

Arcadis seeks to hire a Senior Roadway Design Engineer to join the team in the Cleveland, Columbus, or Akron location.

In Short

• Lead and direct the development and design of infrastructure projects for roadways.
• Perform different roles on multi-disciplined projects including technical design and production lead.
• Participate in client-facing roles, making presentations and managing client expectations.
• Assist in developing project scopes and budgets.
• Mentor and develop junior staff and design/drafters.
• Maintain project schedules and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Work on multiple unique assignments simultaneously.
• Contribute to effective client presentations and prepare written reports.
• Utilize proficiency with CAD software.
• Engage in maintenance of traffic design and roadway drainage design.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 10 or more years of relevant engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
• Experience with infrastructure design and construction engineering.
• Proficiency with CAD, particularly Civil3D and Microstation.
• Familiarity with ODOT design standards.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Active participation in professional associations is preferred.
