Mechanical Engineering Specialist - Remote

Overview

AECOM is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineering Specialist for a Federal Client in the DC Metro Area. The Mechanical Engineering Specialist will be the senior technical resource and will serve as the technical advisor for the team throughout multiple projects’ lifecycles.

In Short

• Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for the candidate's specific area of expertise.
• Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality cost-effective work by others.
• Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
• Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
• Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.
• Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
• Prepares technical specification sections.
• Strives to identify opportunities for effective and efficient cost savings for the client.
• Serves as a fully capable professional in the field with minimal direction.
• Communicates and collaborates with full design team and client to ensure client needs are met.

Requirements

• BA/BS + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• 10+ years of experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust Federal Security Clearance.
• Experience with GSA/Federal Projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.
