Environmental Chemist II - Data Validation - Remote

Overview

AECOM is seeking an Environmental Chemist – Data Validation to be part of our Enterprise Capabilities team and based in Bengaluru, India. This position will offer a hybrid work arrangement to include both office and remote work schedules.

In Short

• Review and validate laboratory data packages for compliance with USEPA guidance.
• Upload laboratory analytical data to client and regulatory databases.
• Manage data in relational database systems like EarthSoft EQuIS and MS Access.
• Prepare technical memoranda and white papers for client deliverables.
• Implement innovation and automation tools produced by the team.
• Manage workloads assigned by chemistry staff with flexibility in working hours.
• Proficient in Level 2 and 3 data validation.
• Support quality assurance/quality control and data management for environmental investigations.
• Contribute to various environmental remediation and monitoring projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in a Quality Control laboratory.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of environmental and analytical chemistry principles.
• Familiarity with data validation and sampling plans.
• Experience using relational databases like EQuIS or Microsoft Access.
• Proficient in data validation and understanding valid qualifiers.
• Knowledge of analytical challenges with per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).
• Experience performing chemical analysis in an academic or commercial setting.
