The Virginia Department of Elections (ELECT) is seeking an Azure Developer with minimum 3 years experience to work with an existing software development team in a remote capacity.

In Short

Work with web and Windows applications for ELECT staff and constituents.
Focus on programming and design for Cloud Services.
Responsible for analysis, design, and coding for new applications.
Maintain and enhance existing applications.
Collaborate with Business Analysts and Application Architects.
Comfortable with C#, .NET, SQL, and JavaScript.
Experience with Azure DevOps and application security is beneficial.
Familiarity with mobile and responsive design practices is a plus.
Work in Agile teams and communicate technical concepts effectively.
Azure certifications are highly desirable.

Requirements

At least 3 years of documented Azure experience.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure services.
Proficiency in C#, .NET, Python, Java, or Node.js.
Experience with Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep.
Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and GitHub actions.
Working knowledge of Azure Functions and Logic Apps.
Experience with Azure SQL and Cosmos DB.
Understanding of identity management and networking security.
Proficiency in designing RESTful APIs.
Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.
