Senior DevOps Engineer II - Remote

Overview

ActiveProspect is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer II to help operate and maintain our SaaS products, focusing on improving infrastructure automation and deployments in the cloud.

In Short

• Implement and upgrade GitOps Kubernetes (AWS EKS/ArgoCD) and serverless (AWS Lambda) deployment patterns.
• Develop tooling for efficient software deployment.
• Collaborate with engineers to optimize cloud infrastructure.
• Drive best practices and innovative strategies.
• Ensure system security and health by monitoring vulnerabilities.
• Recommend and implement system improvements.
• Participate in on-call rotation for system availability.
• Assist in compliance and security policies.
• Mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• 6+ years experience in large-scale production environments.
• Deep proficiency in AWS cloud environments.
• Expertise in Kubernetes and containerization.
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Familiarity with CI/CD and GitOps workflows.
• Experience managing distributed database systems.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka.
• Comfortable with Ubuntu Linux.
• In-depth knowledge of service observability.
• Understanding of Git/Github workflows.
