Development Internship - Remote

Overview

The ACLU seeks undergraduate or graduate applicants for a full-time internship in the Development Department of the ACLU’s National office. This position is fully remote.

In Short

• Copywriting and editing donor appeals and communications
• Assisting with campaign production
• Documenting work processes and workflows
• Engaging in special projects and other duties as assigned
• Centering principles of equity, inclusion, and belonging in all work
• Provide assistance to the Supporter Marketing teams’ work on donor acquisition
• Support omnichannel donor appeal and cultivation campaign production
• Assist with implementation of campaigns for mail, telemarketing, or peer to peer texting
• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments
• Experience coordinating with third party partners preferred

Requirements

• Experience in or knowledge of development work at a nonprofit organization
• Project management experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments
• Experience coordinating with third party partners preferred
• Experience working with a complex national or international nonprofit preferred

Benefits

• A stipend is available for students who are lawfully authorized to work
• $20/hour for undergraduate students or equivalent experience
• $24/hour for graduate and law students or equivalent experience
• Arrangements can be made with educational institutions for work/study or course credit
