Fall 2025 Intern, Communications & Marketing - Multimedia Brand Studio - Remote

Overview

The ACLU seeks a Graduate or Undergraduate Podcast Intern in the Multimedia team of the Communications Department of the ACLU’s National office. This is a remote position that can be part-time or full-time. The intern must be based in the U.S.

In Short

• Assist with recording, editing, copy-editing, and publishing podcast episodes.
• Organize and maintain podcast assets (e.g. audio files, transcripts, graphics, and promos).
• Support with on-location field recordings; including interviews and ambient audio.
• Edit short promotional podcast clips for social media.
• Demonstrated interest in audio production, journalism, and storytelling.
• Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
• Basic audio production skills; familiarity with software like Audition and ProTools.
• Flexibility, adaptability, and a desire to participate in an evolving creative environment.
• Enthusiasm about and knowledge of the contemporary podcast media landscape.
• Keen interest in audience insights, metrics, and how data can shape content strategy.

Benefits

• Stipend available for students who are lawfully authorized to work.
• Arrangements can be made with educational institutions for work/study or course credit.
• $20/hr for undergraduate students or equivalent experience.
• $24/hr for graduate and law students or equivalent experience.
