The Virtual Preparatory Academy of Georgia is a statewide tuition-free online program serving grades K-10. Our online program curriculum offers rich and engaging content carefully designed to meet the standards required by the state of Georgia. At Virtual Preparatory Academy of Georgia, students are engaged in academics, participating in various activities and assessments appropriate to the courses being studied, including labs, journals, written assignments, discussions, group and individual projects, formative assessments, objective tests, and written exams.

In Short

• Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor in PE
• Work to meet all goals related to student achievement and culture
• Deliver effective live lessons via web conference
• Complete course setup in the Learning Management System
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback
• Track and maintain contact with each student
• Collaborate with Principal to create Progress Reports
• Review student data to inform instructional adjustments
• Differentiate instruction to meet student needs
• Create a joyful and caring classroom environment

Requirements

• Current Georgia teaching license in appropriate content area
• Georgia residency preferred
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards
• Preferred two years’ experience teaching
• Comfort in a growth-focused coaching environment
• High quality written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
• Ability to manage confidential information
• Ability to stand for up to 90 minutes
• Ability to supervise students in all settings
