Grant Accountant - Remote

Overview

The Grant Accountant will support financial management of grants, ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and local guidelines while maintaining accurate financial records across multiple entities.

• Prepare and maintain grant ledgers for various funding sources.
• Forecast and adjust grant expenses monthly.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local reporting requirements.
• Conduct audits and manage financial data across multiple systems.
• Provide financial information for month-end close activities.
• File cash requests for grants as necessary.
• Utilize advanced Excel skills for grant tracking and reporting.
• Communicate effectively with finance and accounting staff.

• Assist with additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or accounting.
• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and grant financial management.
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or Great Plains.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
• Familiarity with Uniform Guidance is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
• Prior grant knowledge is essential.
