Overview

The Global Site Management Lead (GSML) at AbbVie provides direction and operational expertise for Clinical Site Management (CSM) activities, ensuring integrity, quality, and timeliness in assigned studies.

In Short

• Reports to the Associate Director, Global Site Management.
• Champions AbbVie’s Risk Based Quality Management framework.
• Develops operational study-level strategies for site monitors.
• Communicates and manages risks with effective mitigation plans.
• Key member of the Clinical Study Team representing CSM globally.
• Oversees day-to-day monitoring activities to ensure deliverables are met.
• Partners with stakeholders for study planning and execution.
• Accountable for site management activities from start-up to closeout.
• Ensures study and site inspection readiness.
• Generates lessons learned and contributes to CSM efficiency improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a medical or scientific field.
• 5+ years of clinical research experience, including 2 years in monitoring or project management.
• Experience in multiple phases of studies and therapeutic areas preferred.
• Strong communication skills and leadership abilities.
• Competent in standard business procedures and compliance.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.
• Able to work autonomously and within a team.
• Proactive thinking and problem-solving skills.
