Traveling Mobile Podcast Technician - Remote

Overview

We’re looking for a tech-savvy, detail-oriented Mobile Podcast Technician to support and operate mobile podcast recording setups in a variety of locations. You’ll be responsible for the technical execution of high-quality audio recordings, managing gear setup and takedown, and ensuring seamless production experiences for hosts and guests.

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot mobile podcasting equipment.
• Ensure clean, high-quality audio capture in various environments.
• Monitor audio levels and reduce background noise during recording.
• Manage logistics: transport, packing, setup, takedown, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with podcast hosts, producers, and editors on-site and remotely.

• Provide technical guidance and training to hosts or guests as needed.
• Stay updated on latest podcast gear and recording best practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience with audio recording equipment and podcast production.
• Strong understanding of mobile audio gear.
• Familiarity with DAWs like Audacity or Pro Tools.
• Comfort working independently in the field.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours.
• A valid driver’s license and ability to transport gear.
