Overview

The Inpatient RN provides direct patient care in accordance with company policies and procedures, ensuring quality care and a positive patient experience in various dialysis modalities.

In Short

• Provides direct patient care in hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and other renal therapies.
• Collaborates with healthcare teams for effective patient care.
• Supervises Patient Care Technicians and clerical staff.
• Documents patient treatments and responses accurately.
• Participates in quality assurance activities.
• Maintains compliance with safety and health regulations.
• Engages in ongoing education and training in nephrology.
• Handles travel between assigned hospitals and facilities.
• Works on-call, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Adapts treatment plans based on patient assessments.

Requirements

• Current RN licensure in the appropriate state.
• One year of RN experience required.
• Minimum of 6 months nephrology experience.
• Strong assessment skills related to critically ill patients.
• BLS and ACLS CPR certifications preferred.
• Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
• Leadership skills to direct and supervise others.
• Successful completion of Nurses Technical Training.
• Knowledge of dialysis machine safety tests and protocols.
• Participation in ongoing Renal/Nephrology education.
