Senior Technical Writer - Remote

Overview

The Senior Technical Writer is a key player in our Knowledge Management team, responsible for creating, editing, and publishing knowledge base articles, API documentation, and other support content.

In Short

• Act as an exemplary role model for other technical writers and members of the UX Content Design team.
• Create API documentation that meets the needs of engineers while also enabling and empowering non-engineering users.
• Run-test API commands and perform independent troubleshooting.
• Edit API call descriptions, parameter details, and examples to provide a clean and consistent user experience.
• Write clear, concise, and accurate knowledge base articles that simplify complex technical information.
• Review and edit draft articles submitted by team members, ensuring content meets quality standards and adheres to style guides.
• Publish final versions of articles to the knowledge base using web-based content management systems.
• Regularly audit and update existing articles to maintain accuracy and relevancy.
• Collaborate with customer support and technical teams to identify new content needs and update opportunities.
• Analyze content performance metrics to identify trends and develop strategies for content improvement and optimization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably with a focus on knowledge base content or software documentation.
• Strong writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Proficiency in content management systems.
• A deep understanding of best practices for writing API documentation and knowledge base management.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with technical concepts and ability to communicate them to a non-technical audience.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Agile/Scrum experience is a plus.
