Accounting Manager - Remote

Overview

As the Accounting Manager on our collaborative team, you will be instrumental in maintaining sound financial procedures and ensuring financial compliance in the renewable energy and climate solutions sector.

In Short

• Support various aspects of our accounting and reporting process, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Assist in implementing finance systems infrastructure to support business growth.
• Contribute to the preparation of the annual financial statement reporting package in compliance with US GAAP.
• Support the interim and annual financial statement audit.
• Assist in coordinating tax and compliance-related requirements.
• Perform initial reviews of non-standard contracts.
• Conduct research on accounting literature related to new business initiatives.
• Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls.
• Serve as a collaborative team member and support teammates.
• Prepare and review financial statements for accuracy.

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 2-3 years of audit experience.
• Solid knowledge of GAAP and relevant accounting standards.
• CPA or equivalent required.
• Experience with ERP and/or cloud-based accounting software.
• High proficiency in Excel/G-Sheet.
• Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
• Good problem-solving and time management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• Interest in renewable energy helpful.
