Senior Architect/Technical Director - Remote

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Architect/Technical Director to join us at NaturalMotion/Zynga to develop our next project using the Unreal Engine on mobile devices and other platforms, building upon the success of Star Wars: Hunters.

In Short

• Drive the definition of the technical architecture for the game on the client side.
• Contribute to server technology architecting over time.
• Collaborate with product managers and producers on analyzing feature set complexity.
• Work with Art, UX, and UI disciplines to improve tools and processes.
• Ensure the creation of well-designed, adaptable, and testable software.
• Sometimes architect and write production-ready code yourself.
• Mentor Senior and Principal engineers from a technical perspective.
• Foster a tech approach that embraces sustainable live operations.
• Ensure the correct management of technical debt.
• Capture and share knowledge across the team.

Requirements

• Developed and released multiple games with Unreal Engine.
• Deep experience with C++ and understanding of mobile CPU and GPU hardware.
• Authority in AAA game architecture.
• Expertise in areas like NPC behavior, AI, multiplayer, and F2P game mechanics.
• Understanding of design patterns and performance optimization.
• Experience mentoring engineers throughout the game development cycle.
• Strategic problem-solver with collaboration skills.
• Ability to present technical challenges and solutions to leadership.
