MEL Manager - Remote

Overview

Zinc seeks a MEL Manager for a forthcoming USAID-funded program that will strengthen information integrity and resilience across the Sahel by investing in key local actors such as fact checking organizations, investigative journalists and data scientists at the country and regional level.

In Short

• Responsible for the implementation of all program MEL activities.
• Drafting, managing, and reporting using a Comprehensive Monitoring and Evaluation Plan (CMEP).
• Support information management and develop program indicators.
• Ensure accountability of the project and share data-driven learnings.
• Design and drive MEL system for the project.
• Oversee data collection, management, analysis, and reporting.
• Provide ongoing MEL training for project staff.
• Coordinate with the larger Zinc MEL team of experts.
• Alert the COP regarding concerns about project data integrity.
• Ensure high standards for performance and integrity.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience working with civil society and independent media.
• Experience in information integrity and media strengthening.
• Ability to adapt and overcome in challenging environments.
• Strong analytical skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience in project management and MEL systems.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
• Knowledge of USAID-funded programs is a plus.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in French is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel within the Sahel region.
